Von Ramona und Pascual, den Eltern von Mariangela
Weil die Blutwerte auf gutem Weg sind sich zu normalisieren, konnte unsere Tochter Mariangela am Dienstag die spezialisierte Abteilung für Transplantationen des Universitätsspitals Basel verlassen. Am 26. November wurde die Transplantation der Stammzellen von ihrem Bruder Pasquale, der glücklicherweise 100% kompatibel ist, gemacht.
Es war ein sehr schwieriges Jahr für die ganze Familie, erstens wegen der Krankheit selbst, der Ungewissheit einer Genesung und auch wegen der weiten Distanz zum Spital.
Das Jahr 2009 ist zum Vergessen.
Es war jedoch ermutigend zu sehen, wie viele Freunde und Bekannte uns durch telefonische Anrufe, Mitteilungen und vor allem durch das Gebet ihre Solidarität zeigten. Zudem hatte sie ein Team von spezialisierten Aerzten aller Bereiche und modernste Spitalausrüstung zur Verfügung. Auch an sie gilt unser Dank.
Obwohl sie jetzt aus dem Spital ist, müssen ihre Werte eng überwacht werden um die vollständige Heilung sicherzustellen.
Wir möchten nochmals allen unseren Dank aussprechen.

De Ramona y Pascual, los padres de Mariangela
El martes nuestra hija Mariangela abandona el hospital especializado en trasplante
de la universidad de Basilea, con sus valores sanguíneos en vía de
normalizarse. El 26 de Noviembre se le efectuó el trasplante de células madre
de su hermano Pascual, que afortunadamente fueron compatible en un 100%.
Ha sido un año muy difícil para toda la familia, primero por la enfermedad en
si, la incertidumbre de un pronto recobro y sobre todo por la lejanía donde
estaba hospitalizada.
Un año 2009 para olvidar.
Sin embargo, fue reconfortante saber la gran cantidad de amigos y conocidos que
nos manifestaron su solidaridad a través de sus llamadas telefónicas, sus
mensajes y sobre todo por tenerla siempre en sus oraciones. Por otro lado, tuvo
a su disposición un equipo de Doctores de todas las especialidades, con unas instalaciones
hospitalarias de altísimo nivel. Igualmente para ellos va nuestro
agradecimiento.
Ahora, aunque fuera del hospital tiene que estarse monitoreando sus valores
para estar seguro de su recuperacion final.

Our daughter
From Ramona and Pascual, the parents of Mariangela
On Tuesday, our daughter Mariangela was discharged from Basel´s university hospital, specialized in transplants, with her blood levels on their way to being normal.
On November 26th, she received, in a transplant, her brother Pascual´s stem cells, that fortunately were 100% compatible.
It´s been a very difficult year for the whole family, first because of the illness, the uncertainty of the recovery and the farness of the hospital.
A 2009 to forget.
But it was comforting to hear from the many friends and acquaintances that showed their solidarity through phone calls, messages and prayers. On the other hand, she had at her disposal a team of doctors from all specialties, with top hospital installations. Also to all of them, our thanks.
Now, although out of the hospital, they are still monitoring her blood levels to insure that her recovery is final.
We reiterate our heartfelt thanks to all of you.
